Hey who doesn't..its a bitch and wears on you mentally. but you have to overcome..remember the good ones and look for the next big win every time 2 more cards come your way.

last night i decided to enter a couple of larger than usual tournys..50+ each. 1st one i was rolling great had just hit the top 25 with a few mins till 1st break. i get aces and 3 people go all-in!!! a dream hand!!! a win and im the leader!! well the guy with pr of 8's hit the 3rd on the river and instead i limp in with about 700 chips and 20 mins later im out...

next tourny same deal , im about avg stack when i get aces again..only 1 caller, flop looks like crap so im all-in....he turns over pr 10's and probably crapped his pants when he saw my aces....cleanup however was much easier when the 3rd 10 fell on the turn...

2 times with aces and im down ov 100.00....ooooo boy.

i get up this morning and go to the 1/2 tables,,i need about 30 fpp to clear a bonus...im just about there when i get aces. now theres 1 player at the table with wayyy oversize stack and he's been bullying since i sat down...he raises it to 8 and im the only caller...flop comes 567 and im pretty sure it hasnt helped either of us...he bets 75 !!!!..o yea i believe he's got a straight....im all-in for 101 !!!! he calls....my aces against his ........k's !!!! turn and river aint shit and im raking em in!!!! even in 1 hand.....:suomi:

the point is hopefull even the worst beats will even out over time if you hang in there, dont chase and continue to play smart poker....

Statistically, aces will win 68% of the time at a 10 player table.

As for bad beats - I was just this side of the money in a recent tourney with about 6000 chips in my stack, when I got pocket aces - I bet about a third of my pot and two players follow me - the flop goes 2,4, J, and I go all in.One guy folds and the other player goes all in - and he shows 3-8 offsuit I'm just about guaranteed the win and I'm feeling elated that this moron went in with 3-8 offsuit - a 3 comes up on the turn and an 8 follows - My aces lose to 3's and 8's

The tournament started with about 400 players and we were down to about 33 players and this guy goes in with 3-8 off suited!!!!!!! One would assume that anyone getting that far in a tourney would know what the hell he was doing!

A 3-8!!!!!!!!

Watcha gonna do?

Depends on how you are losing. if you are suffering bad beats, but still playing good poker i would give another shot. if you are simply playing bad poker and getting in with the worst of it then its definitely time for a break.

its like im going 20-30 (2.5-3 rounds) hands without anything...usually os 2-9...4-10...then i catch say AK os or s and get out turned or rivered...i have been able to get to the 75/150 level but way short-stacked...then forced to go all in...don't think i can bluff with crap like this in earlier rounds...my beting with the only hands i can play depends upon whats happening at the table so there is no clear cut answer here...so i guess its okay to good poker habits...
